Kicks

On this page, you’ll find help guides for basic Taekwondo kicks. These kicks are the ones that appear in most patterns and are regularly used in sparring. Please note, the guides are for reference only – always see your instructor guidance and support. It’s common for instructors to teach techniques in different ways, and with an emphasis on different aspects. For example, some instructors may favour striking with the ball of the foot for front kick, whereas others might emphasise using the heel.
