Poomse

Poomse is the Korean word for patterns or forms. Patterns are a series of set movements using a range of Taekwondo techniques to defend against imaginary attackers. Generally a new pattern is learnt at each grade, and these increase in difficulty as you progress. Different styles of Taekwondo may use different sets of patterns, however World Taekwondo uses the Taegeuk patterns for Kup grades and the Yudanja Series for Dan grades.
